You know you live in the country when they serve tater tot casserole at the gas station. Today I left the house for the first time in 2 weeks without the children. I figured to celebrate the occasion I deserved a fountain drink. The closest store of any kind is about 10 minutes down the highway. It's a gas station called LW's. Well as I was filling my drink I looked over at the hot food case. There with an ice cream scoop sitting in it, next to the corn dogs, burritos, and potato logs, was a giant pan of tater tot casserole. Next I glanced up at a sign which proudly displayed today's special, not corn dogs 3 for $1 or burritos $ .69 cents but "TatOrtot Casserole $5.99." Besides the obvious spelling error don't you think it's a little pricey? Soon I realized the long line of people waiting at the hot food counter were ordering it and commenting on all the delicious ground beef they got in one ice cream scoopful.
Who knew?

LOL. Oh my gosh. I can't eat tater tot casserole at home. I'm certain the gas station variety is out of the question.
Hope you enjoyed your time out alone!
